As part of the \u201cEnergy Coast\u201d, the terminal is a central hub for feeding liquefied natural gas into the German supply network &#8211; and therefore an important building block for security of supply and energy independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The requirements for the fire protection system were as individual as the infrastructure itself. Particularly in the maritime area &#8211; on the seaward side of the terminal &#8211; all components had to withstand extreme conditions: salty air, splash water, high mechanical loads and maximum availability in an emergency.
